Our client is a leading growth equity fund with a strong reputation and excellent track record. The fund is seeking to hire someone to lead their investor relations effort.

Our client invests into European technology businesses and makes investments from early through to growth stage. The fund comprises a number of high profile investors with an excellent track record of returning capital to their clients. The team has recently raised a fund to focus on European investments and is consequently seeking to hire someone to manage its investor relations efforts alongside the partners of the firm.

The successful individual will work closely with the Investment Partners and will take responsibility for managing key relationships with institutional investors, updating them on new investments and fund performance. The incoming individual will be an integral member of the team, and will play a critical role in subsequent fundraisings and all related activities.

In order to apply for this position you should have seven to twelve years of work experience, the majority of which will ideally have been gained within the investor relations division of a private equity fund or other investment group. Other suitable backgrounds include private equity fund raising or placement groups. Some candidates may also be working as a private equity investor (most likely in fund of funds) and may wish to transition into an investor relations position.

Ideally you will have spent the early years of your career in a leading global investment bank and will have a strong technical skill set. In all cases candidates must have a strong understanding of the private equity investment process and experience dealing with institutional investors. Additionally, you should be comfortable operating at a senior level, and should enjoy working in a small and entrepreneurial environment. You must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and fluency in another European language is desirable but not a prerequisite. All candidates must have outstanding academic backgrounds.
