The Client:

The firm has been in existence for over 150 years, providing investment and corporate banking services to UK and overseas businesses. With an enormous corporate client base in the UK, the firm have taken the decision to fully invest in the growth of their Equities division and now seek to develop their corporate coverage in Equity Research

All Equity Research roles will be focused on UK Mid Market Stocks (Market Caps of £100m -£1bn).

Sectors of Particular Interest:

Oil & Gas

Insurance (Life or Non-Life)

Consumer & Retail

Capital Goods

Support Services

UK Housebuilders / Construction

Property & Real Estate

Candidate Requirements:

All applicants must meet the following criteria in order to meet the shortlist:

• At least 5 years experience in UK Equity Research within one of the sectors listed above. 

• An established franchise of UK Long Only Investors - Fund Managers, Pension Funds, Local Authorities, Insurers etc. (A history of receiving votes from Institional Investors would be distinctly advantageous).

• Strong corporate client base and the ability to initiate coverage relatively quickly.

• Excellent academic background

• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously

• The ability to work within a firm going through extensive strategic change.

• A strong approach toward selling and experience working on Capital Raises, Rights Issues, IPO’s etc.
