AXA Investment Managers is a leading global asset manager with AuM of € 516 Bn (as of 30th September 2008).With a presence in 21 countries and over 80 nationalities, AXA Investment Managers covers the whole spectrum of asset classes: Equity, Fixed Income, Structured Products, Private Equity, Real Estate and Funds of Hedge Funds.A team of six people based in Paris, the Strategic Marketing Team works as a team of internal consultants. It is in charge of the strategic marketing. In that context, it works on projects such as client segmentation, market sizing and product positioning by country or segment. It also does strategic analyses. In this area, the team supports the Strategy Department on different projects:

• Strategic plan
   
• Development in different regions (Asia, India, China…)
   
• Product strategy
   
• Acquisitions

Reporting to a Senior Strategic Marketing Analyst, the VIE will contribute to the local development of the strategic marketing function. In particular, the VIE will work on the following projects:
 

• Client segmentation
   
• Detection of business development opportunities for specific client segments
   
• Support the product development and positioning initiatives
   
• Competitive watch
• Support local Fund Range Manager

The VIE will locally be integrated in the marketing department. The VIE will conduct strategic marketing analyses (gathering and analysis of information), and make some recommendations in order to support the decision making process of the local Sales and Marketing Heads.

What sort of profile are we looking for:

• Graduated from Business/ Engineering school or University

• Previous experience in asset management, investment banking division or in a consulting firm/ Industry skills welcome
   
• Fluent in German as well as in English
   
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint in particular
   
• An inquiring and analytical mind
   
• Good oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to write clear, precise and accurate reports
   
• Good organisational and time management skills
   
• Open-minded and dynamic. Ability to communicate well with the rest of the firm, both locally and internationally
   
• Team player
