Our client seeks a Regulatory Financial Accountant to join their London office. They are a diversified financial services company that provides a broad range of retail banking and brokerage, asset and wealth management, and corporate and investment banking products and services. They are one of the largest providers of financial services in the United States, with retail and commercial banking operations in a number of states.
The key responsibilities for the Regulatory Financial Accountant include:
- Ownership of the monthly & quarterly reporting for WBNA London Branch Bank to the UK regulators (Bank of England & FSA).
- Daily production on a shared basis of the capital adequacy calculations of Wachovia Securities International Limited (this calculates the capital levels required to support the position risk, counterparty risk, concentration risk and FX risk that WSIL is running).
- Support development & implementation of Reg Reporting processes for the newly opened WBI London Branch.
- Mandate to review processes for the above Reg Reporting deliverables in order to identify & implement improvements to improve control and better utilize systems capabilities.
- Support & assist in developing the London Reg Reporting Risk Controls processes as they impact on the deliverables above.
Our client seeks a newly qualified accountant (ACA) with an excellent academic background or someone with 6 months to a years experience after qualifying. Ideally you'll have prior experience in financial services, regulatory reporting or knowledge of financial products.
