IT’s crucial role in screen options trading is driving rapid growth in our IT department. Thanks to state-of-the-art hardware and software, we have fast, reliable connections with options exchanges worldwide. But technology is changing fast and we want to stay ahead of the technology curve. We need another Unix application specialist.

What you’ll do
You’ll maintain the primary back-end trading applications such as order routing, market feeds and mapping through relational databases.

Availability and performance of our client-server trading applications are your domain. Implementing changes and software patches to application or market software must align system functionality with business needs.

To gather application requirements, you are in close contact with the trading organisation. You manage and escalate changes and problems towards software vendors. With a backup for daily operation, you’ll be working with two other Unix Application specialists. And because you’re forward-thinking, you’ll participate in projects for new market connections and new applications.

What we need
 

• Knowledge and experience in automated client-server trading software
• SQL knowledge
• Experience with Shell scripting and Perl
• Basic knowledge of Unix system administration
• Structured and analytical way of working
• Some knowledge of Windows, basic operating skills
• Good communication and reporting skills
