Our client is a huge, global media group.  They are now looking to add a Corporate Development Manager to their London team.

The role will be working for the International Business Development group, based in London. The department’s focus is on M&A and strategic partnership opportunities across all the major business units of the group. Additionally the team works on strategic planning for the International business.

Main responsibilities

• Research (including strategic and valuation analysis) across the international marketplace to identify appropriate potential corporate acquisition / partnership opportunities for

• Execution, if approved by senior management, of identified transactions

• Strategy development for new business initiatives

Skills

• Prior working knowledge of the media industry - preferable

• Solid financial modelling, and company/asset valuation, skills

• Ability to perform thorough research independently

• Ability to think strategically about the changing global TV/Film media landscape

• Comfortable dealing with senior management and international contacts

• Must be able to work effectively on own

• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner
• Preference for individuals with M&A transaction experience
• Language skills especially European or Asian are desirable but not essential

• Must have high degree of computer literacy and advanced knowledge of Word/Excel/Powerpoint etc

It is likely that you will be working for one of the major investment banks, strategy consulting firms or in another corporate development role.
