This newly created position will work closely with the Head of the Private Equity Firm, ensuring the overall accuracy of financial reporting and investor communications in a fast growing dynamic organization which can provide some excellent career opportunities
Position Responsibilities:
Budgeting
- Assisting the President with the budgeting process.
- Maintaining and reconciling fund model data on a quarterly basis
- Follow-up on the cash management process; handling monthly closings of the fund level entries independently
Preparation of financial accounts
- Preparation of quarterly financial reporting package for the funds
- Preparation of quarterly GAAP basis financial statements for US registered funds
Reporting
- Provide the team, and third parties, with financial, corporate, structure and legal information
- Quarterly reporting to the Company’s investors.
Controlling
- Develop and maintain control procedures over books and records including cash and financial reporting
- Supervise implementation of AMF compliances and US GAAP compliances for future US funds; Ensure company filings and investment records are complete
Others
- Liaise with lawyers for the incorporation of companies, corporate changes, and board minutes
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or similar education
Experience
- Qualified accountant with strong fund administration and consolidation experience under IFRS and US GAAP
Minimum 8 to 10 years
Competencies
- Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Strong accounting background
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and team spirit
- Strong interpersonal skills
Others
- At least 5– 7 years experience in anglo saxon work environment
- English mothertongue a plus; French fluent
- Proactive with a keen sense of responsibility
