The Role:
The Senior Credit Consultant will be working within an international team of highly-skilled and experienced professionals in the Corporate Credit franchise, based in London. The trainer would deal with both bank and fixed income clients, and instruct credit seminars from fundamental to intermediate levels. It is essential that the post holder is a confident speaker. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit professional to utilise his/her analytical skills in a client facing role from an academic/learning perspective. The position requires willingness and flexibility to travel overseas.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver open enrolment and customized in-house seminars around the world. Create and write research, case studies and training materials for multi-channel delivery. Facilitate workshops and serve as subject matter expert on risk management advisory assignments. Understand and maintain knowledge of our client's analytical approach and rating processes. Develop new business opportunities with new or existing clients in co-operation with the account managers.
Experience/Qualifications required:
Strong academic background (Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a Finance related discipline. MSc/MBA preferred) with good accounting and financial modelling skills are essential. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CPA or European equivalent) with knowledge of both IFRS and US GAAP would be an advantage. Seasoned and highly experienced credit professional with a Corporate Banking or Investment Banking background. Exposure to a broad range of credit segments, industry sectors, credit products and/or credit functions (analysis, origination, structuring, debt restructurings and workouts). Competent in running complex seminars around credit risk analysis. Ability to address the challenges of Credit Risk Management and effectively respond to client questions. Familiarity with credit risk models, credit portfolio management and/or the fixed income markets. Prior training experience is not essential. However, ability to train and engage others to learn is essential.
