The succesful candidate will work on strategic business development initiatives (potential public and private acquisitions of US and international asset management companies, divestitures, joint venture arrangements, etc).

This is a rare opportunity for ambitious indivisual to join this succesful M & A team. You will Identify and evaluate potential acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, lift-outs and divestitures.Develop a deep understanding of the target’s financial performance and key performance drivers via analysis of both public and privately sourced quantitative data and other qualitative information. Analyze the target’s product(s) and capability(s), and assess its fit.Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management Manage the delivery of approved business development projects up to the agreed point of handover Coordinate and lead the development of financial forecasts to support the valuation of the business. Coordinate negotiations with the vendors, including the preparation of indicative offers. Project manage the due diligence process, including the formation and coordination of project teams drawn from across the businesses, summarize and analyze findings for senior management and ensure critical issues are captured in negotiations, financial modeling, commercial terms for legal agreements and integration plans. Coordinate internal and external legal counsel during the negotiation of definitive legal agreements ensuring all key commercial issues are adequately addressed. Project manage the pre-completion activities, such as regulatory, client and shareholder approvals Facilitate the development of ongoing business governance requirements, including governance for post completion integration project management. Support post deal evaluation Provide strategic planning leadership-consultative services. During annual planning cycle work with senior management. Facilitate strategy sessions to support the development of strategic initiatives. Project management of strategic initiatives and other ad-hoc projects, as directed by senior management Manage approved projects to the point of handover within target times and budgets ensuring that outcomes meet or exceed forecast. Candidates should have financial services or management consulting with strategic planning, corporate finance or comparable experience Financial services industry experience working in the asset management and mutual fund markets is preferred You should have a knowledge of business-matter expertise such as acquisitions, lift-outs or divestitures You should have the ability to undertake sophisticated financial analyses including valuations and acquisition models, to create and use pre-existing models and spreadsheets, prepare presentations; generate comprehensive financial analyses and thought pieces. You should be resourceful and detail oriented Candidates must display excellent written and oral communication skills amd should demonstrate good business judgment and interpersonal skills to influence senior management and team members. Degree qualified. MBA or CFA preferred.
