This role is to provide both the Business Units and IT Management with the assurance and visibility that IT Operations are executed in a controlled and managed way. The IT Business Governance Group is to direct and control the enterprise in order to achieve the goals by adding value while balancing risk versus return over IT and its processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a structure of relationships and processes to direct and control the enterprise in order to achieve the goals by adding value while balancing risk versus return over IT and its processes. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate understanding in other areas of IT Governance including strategies surrounding Process Management, Operational Risk & Control, IT Business Portfolio Management and Tools and Methods. Candidates with extensive professional experience of operating at Senior IT Management levels across a complex supply chain that includes in-sourcing/outsourcing, off shoring and collaborative joint ventures in the past will be considered favourably. Essential skills for this role include;
-A solid background in IT governance. -Specific experience of implementing a Quality Management framework e.g. ISO 9001, TQM -IT Project life cycle design and implementation. -Test Management experience, with grounding in - manual/automated/unit/system/UAT/performance/stress testing, and all related reporting -Experience of working with leading industry test suites e.g. Mercury, Rational -Experience of operating industry standard IT Governance practices and standards. -A strong track record of delivery within a structured project environment. -Extensive process design and mapping. -Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel and Visio.
Desirable skills include;
-Practical application of EFQM Business Excellence Model or similar. -Industry standard experience / qualification of IT Governance practices and standards e.g. COBIT, CMMI, ITIL, Six Sigma. -Specific exposure to Capital Markets technology would be advantageous e.g. Fixed Income, Equities -IT performance management / metrics expertise.
