Job Description Overview
Be part of the new wave in FX technology! Calypso Technology is experiencing huge growth and opportunity in the foreign exchange and money market field with strong existing and new client demand. We need you to help us make it happen!

We are seeking a Business Analyst to work closely with the Product Manager and assist in the ongoing development of the Calypso FX/MM trading system. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, providing guidance in strategic developments, writing specifications, performing functional testing of the application and providing internal training.

The ideal candidate is someone who traded or supported FX/MM Trading and has experience working with IT, or who has a similar experience with a software vendor.

Responsibilities

• Understand market requirements by interacting with clients and with Calypso professional services people.
• Interface directly with our clients and Calypso professional services to report, analyze and solve software issues.
• Produce product requirements and specifications.
• Provide support to the work of software engineers, quality assurance engineers, help desk and documentation to ensure timely delivery of a product that meets client and market requirements.
• Write and/or review product documentation.
• Assist in the management of the lifecycle of client reported bugs – including replicating, reporting, providing test cases, testing, scheduling for upcoming patches and if required, ‘hotfixing’ the bug fix to the client.
• Perform functional and system testing.
• Develop diversity of technical skills and be able to shift functions to relieve possible bottlenecks in the development cycle to ensure contractual deliveries are met.
• Train sales people and sales support people on the features of the product and how best to demonstrate and sell it.

Skills & Requirements:

• B.S- Master in Business/Finance or Technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in trading or supporting FX/MM trading.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
