Growing and Dynamic Group. Key Strategic Position.

The Global Group is responsible for origination, evaluation, acquisition and subsequent management of sector investments on behalf of a dedicated fund. At present there are investments in 12 locations located across Asia, North America and Europe. The Global Group focuses on the a specific sector, and they interact with other area's of the business in seeking new investments, managing existing investments and building relationships with other participants in the same sector. Working closely with the Head of the Global Group, your role as the Chief Operating Officer of the team will have multiple facets. You will develop a good understanding of all existing sector investments made by the group and keep abreast of the commercial issues through interaction with the asset managers. You will also be involved in the assessment of new investment opportunities and play a key role in the investment analysis and investment approval process as well as the capital management of assets. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Having a detailed knowledge of each of the Global Group’s existing investments, new investment activity and interaction with external parties to be able to work closely with the Head of the team in developing strategy, identifying opportunities and enhancing performance across the group’s activities.
  • Overseeing the reporting process to each of the managed funds to ensure that the reporting of asset performance is of a high standard across the group. As part of this, developing and maintaining a strong relationship with senior management of various managed funds will be essential.
  • Overseeing the periodic valuation process for each of the investments.
  • Assessing the attractiveness of potential investments and making recommendations with regard to pursuing any opportunities further.
  • Playing an active role in the execution of transactions (acquisitions, financing, contractual negotiations)

Your background:

  • You are likely to have a background in investment banking or have experience in the management of investments made by infrastructure funds or private equity funds. Alternatively, you may also have a background in the maritime sector investment via a CFO role.
  • You are likely to have experience in the investment process from initial analysis, due diligence, execution and investment management, and be experienced in identifying key business drivers and key commercial risks.
