BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW

The Asia Program Trading technology team is responsible for supporting the portfolio trading strategies business which involves the purchase or sales of baskets of securities across a number of different Asian Exchanges. Whilst the team has specific Asian focus –it operates on a global basis in the 4 key regions of New York, London, Hong Kong & Tokyo.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will:

  • Work on range of projects to support Program Trading business.
  • Join a strong team of professionals and will be expected to participate in management, design, development, and support of high performance trading and order management systems.
  • Work closely with various global and regional IT groups to improve the resiliency and scalability of our application infrastructure.
  • Actively participate in full cycle of Front office systems development
  • Manage projects that vary in their scope and complexity - typically there will be a mix of small, medium and big ones that need close collaboration with a spectrum of users and technology groups.
  • Work with developers in multiple development centers in Asia and other Global locations
  • Planning & management of Production environment – Ensure availability and resilience of systems by proper planning for growth and capacity.
  • Provide quality support and ensure availability of systems, ensure swift resolution to production issues
  • Develop and improve procedure and best practices for the team.
  • Collaborate effectively with users and technology groups to build quality solutions for business requirements.

SKILL / EXPERIENCE

Technical Skills

  • 8-20 years’ experience in systems development and managing complex software projects in Equity Front Office Development.
  • Experience in managing teams of 10+ people.
  • Detailed knowledge of SDLC (software development lifecycle)
  • Strong Development on at least one of the following languages: C++, C#, Java
  • Detailed experience on Unix/Linux Working knowledge of databases and SQL

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree in a Technical Discipline
