Leadership role within thriving Tokyo based Investment Bank for IT Project Manager / Team Leader in the Fixed Income Division. You will be facing off to Sales predominantly but also interfacing with Traders, Marketers, Ops, Compliance, several Global Locations and Senior Management.

Essential – 8yrs Java/C++, Unix, Sybase, Large-scale multithreaded application development on Trading/Sales applications. Very strong practical Fixed Income knowledge across more than one product line. Must have Project Management / Team Leadership on Global / Front Office projects within Top Tier Bank.

Preferable – FX, Commodities, Equity Derivatives knowledge, Fluency in Japanese (facing off to Sales) is preferable but not a prerequisite.

Fantastic challenge in a rapidly expanding IT group where the business is seeing great improvements in capability due to innovative IT solutions. As a result this team is growing to such an extent it now needs a Senior Manager in Tokyo. Team size is currently medium with headcount forecast to be increased. You will be taking lead on all new projects and leading the team’s several applications serving the business. Working to offer the Sales Desks more functionality you will need to be able to understand their criteria and deliver robust and effective solutions. You need to have very strong application development experience within the Front Office of an Investment Bank in order to be able to lead this team.
