Derivatives IT provides development and support of front, middle and back office applications used by the global OTC derivatives business for interest rate, credit and equity derivatives, options and fund linked products.
Derivatives IT is in the process of a radical redesign of its IT systems and architecture to meet the challenges of a major increase in trading volumes as well as improved STP and control.
STP improvements have already made a major impact and the new technical platform will also facilitate the firm's ability to innovate in the financial markets

The Principal Objectives of this position are:
Within Derivatives IT, the Interest Rate Products (IRP) team is playing a significant part in a high profile strategic project to roll out a highly peformant distrubuted risk management platform within the IRP business unit. You will play a crucial role in this project as a key member of the development team involved in developing solutions for the Front Office, provide technical support within IT to the teams, 2nd line support and business analysis.
Experience / qualifications:
You will have solid IT development experience and a proven track record of delivery to the Front Office. You will have experience of developing derivatives pricing and risk management systems. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a sound knowledge of interest rate derivatives; other business cluster experience e.g. Emerging Markets with be considered. You will have excellent C#, exposure to Excel/VBA and ideally will also understand COM and C++.
