My client is a Top-tier European Investment bank looking to grow a small, high-visibility change function within the financial control space.

The Financial Control Projects group are responsible for i) managing the controlled roll-out of standardised global systems, and ii) process improvement & design, in order to meet control, efficiency and cost objectives of the Firm. This is a Business Analyst role working within the Financial Reporting Projects team. The successful candidate would form part of a team working on a strategic change initiative to implement the Financial Control Target Operating Model. The objective of this initiative is to improve efficiency and controls within the Financial Reporting area. The scope will include the rebuilding of the general ledger posting process and other core financial reporting processes & controls. The successful candidate would be expected to work closely with subject matter experts from the Financial Control line teams. There will also be a requirement to work closely with the project teams in Product Control, Operations and IT. The specific duties are likely to include the following: - Specification of strategic general ledger posting rules (covering multiple products and different GAAP rules.) - Documentation of the current and strategic Financial Reporting processes, including the redesign of key controls. - Specification of requirements for the strategic posting application and other strategic reporting tools (including data requirements, report requirements, specification of reconciliation and exception reporting.) - Testing of the new posting rules, reports and controls prior to testing by the line users.

In order to be considered you must have; Excellent business analysis skills gained in from investment banking or management consultancy background. Excellent communication skills. An accounting qualification or background in finance related projects.
