Our client is a well established brand with a Europe-wide portfolio of extremely successful businesses, some of which are well known to the average consumer. The current portfolio hosts firms in a range of sectors from TMT, consumer products and retail to property and real estate, leisure and industrials.

The firm has won several awards over the years and is consistently seen as one of today’s most respected private equity houses, often leading the way into new markets and recently making great strides across emerging markets and other unexplored territories.

Current expansion plans and prospects are significant meaning this current vacancy will inevitably evolve tremendously over the next few years.

ROLE:

The role will require someone seeking a lot of responsibility and unparalleled diversity across the private equity space. You will work on every transaction executed and have exposure to markets around the world.

Understanding that this is not an equity investments focused role you will be heavily engaged in building and maintaining relationships with major European and global lenders including banks and financial sponsors, advising on debt raisings for acquisitions and re-financings.

THE IDEAL PROFILE:

• It is essential that this person has a strong track record in executing leveraged finance deals and ideally previous exposure to highly complex and distressed situations.
• The successful candidate will have first class academics including a post-graduate MBA or MSc (but not essential) from a top tier business school or university.
• The ability to communicate effectively across all levels is equally important and in particular a full awareness of the complexities and sensitivities when dealing with different cultures.
• With blue chip experience behind you, a minimum of 7 years professional experience in investment banking is required, five of which must be in leveraged finance – currently at VP or Director level.
• Required personality: highly entrepreneurial; a persuasive communicator; highly driven and enthusiastic; quick thinker and prepared to take charge of a fast-paced role; Strong professional networking capability; assertive and confident in your own ability.
