This is a first class opportunity to join a leading financial institution in their highly regarded credit risk area. The role will involve taking responsibility for credit risk in the Project, Leveraged and Structured finance space.

This a key and senior recruit for this banking institution offering not only a strategic involvement in shaping the credit process of the product areas mentioned above but also involvement in the general day to day running of the credit function.

The candidate will have responsibility for the approval of all aspects of credit risk involved in the transactions that the bank undertakes and works closely with client facing business areas in the execution of their business. Credit Risk also has responsibility for the on-going monitoring and credit risk assessment of the bank's customers. The position provides a challenging opportunity for a motivated, decisive individual with a good understanding of Structured, Project and Leveraged Finance Transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of financial information and the written and oral presentation of credit risk issues to management.
• Lead transactions through the approval process and take a leading role in the deal team in order to influence structure and negotiate suitable credit mitigants where appropriate.
• Work closely with other business and control areas, as well as attend customer presentations and meetings to aid in risk assessment, ratings assignment and decision making.

Requirements:

• Will currently be with a leading banking Institution and will possess extensive credit risk skills, which ideally will have covered one or more of the above areas .
• Must be able to exercise sound, logical judgement in decision making, understand and quantify the key risk issues within a transaction or structure, be self motivated and communicate effectively at different management levels.
• Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
• Sound knowledge of financial products and documentation is required.
