ALL OPTIONS Amsterdam is now looking for an experienced high-end application developer with expert knowledge of C++ programming, high-performance systems design, and a solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting quantitative trading initiatives.
  • Research and report on proposed strategies.

  • Understanding of high-performance programming and large scale, high availability software design and implementation.

  • Liase with traders to understand business requirements and design efficient and scalable solutions.

  • Design, develop, test, rollout and maintain automated trading systems, applications and modules.

  • Work closely with quantitative research team for implementation of equity option volatility and theoretical pricing options.

  • Create and maintain up to date work plans, communicating status to traders.

  • Keep pace with new technologies, directions, directions and the latest industry trends.

  • Follow company and industry standards, procedures and methodologies for development of efficient systems.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. (Ideally MSc or above in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance or related field).

  • Minimum 2 years development experience maintaining high end software and with C/ C++ on multiple platforms.

    - Sound experience with either or all of multithreading, messaging, data feeds, exchange interfaces, Tibco rendezvous, Real Time Systems, IBM IQ series.

  • Experience with large-scale system design and implementation with solid software development and project management experience is a plus.
  • In depth knowledge of MS Excel, particularly statistical functions.

  • Some experience with scripting languages (perl, python etc).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in and contribute to a team environment in order to achieve business goals.

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and develop resolutions to complex problems.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines in a high-paced, at times high pressure, environment.

  • Passionate interest in financial markets.
