On a daily basis this person will primarily be responsible for the risk oversight of the trading desk for Foreign Exchange and Commodities. The successful candidate will understand the risks and work with the trading desks to create and monitor a suitable limits structure and prose new limits when necessary. The person must have the ability to analyze market movements and understand how this will impact the risks held by the desks.

Other major responsibilities include the timely delivery of a daily oversight report explaining positions and movements in VaR; monitoring trades throughout the day to monitor their impact on positions against limits and look for any unusual activity; analyze current limit structure and methodology.

Requirements include five or more years of financial experience with a focus in Risk Management. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of commodity products and associated derivatives preferably within a front-office product role; Knowledge of FX and currency option markets is a plus; a solid understanding of market risk; good working knowledge of Excel; preferably with VBA ability; Good communication skills and the ability to work independently without supervision are necessary. MSc/MBA desired.
